About Peggy
Peggy Joy Cross A.S.I.D., Founder of Designs for Harmony, has been a professional Feng Shui teacher, lecturer, writer and consultant since 1998. Her mission is to assist and empower her clients, friends and family to create greater beauty, harmony, peace and desired change in their lives through knowledge of the environmentally healing principles of Feng Shui.
In her pursuit of excellence, Peggy has traveled coast to coast studying Feng Shui, including Compass School, Vaastu Shastra, Black Sect Tantric Buddhist School of Feng Shui, Pyramid School and Space Clearing. Although she has trained in several Feng Shui schools, she finds the practice of Black Sect Feng Shui to be the one she turns to most often because she believes this school is more empowering for her and for her clients. She is also a great believer in following one’s intuition, our connection to the Divine. She honors the wisdom of the Master, H. H. Professor Lin Yun, who advocates staying open to all Feng Shui teachings in the belief that there is always more to learn and there will always be new things with which to work in our rapidly changing world.
Peggy incorporates her background as an interior designer into her work in Feng Shui. She knows that beauty is a constant uplifting energy for the inhabitants. One of Peggy’s design gifts, realized long before she was a professional designer, is her ability to make any home or office comfortable, regardless of the style of design. One of her favorite teachings comes from William Morris, a designer and philosopher of early last century: “Have nothing in your home that you do not know to be functional or believe to be beautiful.”
Living in Virginia Beach, Peggy has become much more familiar with the philosophy and readings of Edgar Cayce, the "father" of Holistic Medicine. Looking at the Divine inspirations for Feng Shui and Cayce’s teachings, she was led to research which compares these two powerful schools of thought. Her first article on the alignment of Feng Shui and Edgar Cayce teachings was published in the July/August 2007 issue of “Venture Inward”, the magazine published by the Association of Research and Enlightenment, or A.R.E. Her next Feng Shui and Cayce article focusing on Clearing Clutter will be published in 2009. She teaches feng shui classes - an eGroup - via the internet in conjunction with the A.R.E. once or twice a year and gives lectures there on a regular basis.
In addition to Hampton Roads and other areas of Virginia, Peggy has Feng Shui clients in California, Florida, Louisiana, Michigan, the Bahamas and several Midwest states. She has also had articles published in “Pleasant Living”, Donna Eden’s “Inner Source” and the “IFSG Grapevine”. She was a featured writer for SW Florida's “Natural Awakenings”, published in the Naples Daily News, and featured in the SW Florida publications “Fort Myers News Press”, “Gulf Shore Life”, “Properties of Distinction” and “Naples Life”. She appeared on WTVK in SW Florida numerous times and enjoyed radio interviews in Florida and Michigan. In 2008 she was a weekly guest of The Maria Shaw Show with CBS. She is currently a guest of The Kimmie Rose Show powered by CBS on alternate Fridays at 10:30am - www.psychiconair.com. She is scheduled as a presenter for conferences in May and June, 2009, at the Association for Research and Enlightenment in Virginia Beach and teaches an internet class once or twice a year sponsored by that organization. www.edgarcayce.org. Peggy’s current artwork, reflective of powerful Feng Shui teachings based on Guas and the Five Elements, was first displayed in a show at the A.R.E. in the summer of 2008. Her art is in private collections in Florida, Michigan and Virginia.
Peggy Cross received her B.F.A. in Interior Design from The Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL and her B.A. in Political Science from Indiana/Purdue Universities at Indianapolis. She is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers and The International Feng Shui Guild as well as a Florida licensed realtor and Virginia certified Interior Designer.

Feng Shui: On site consultations for Feng Shui, ceremonies for new construction and space clearing. A specialty is Feng Shui analysis for remote locations. This is particularly helpful prior to construction and available for homes throughout the country.
